Research Aims: This study tests the effects of different stakeholder power (shareholders, employees, customers, business partners, community, government, NGOs, and media) on sustainability disclosure using salience theory. Extending from this perspective, makes separate assumptions for each determines which one had most over disclosure. Design/Methodology/Approach: The adopts a journalism (i.e., news framing) approach observes element in content analysis. sample comprises panel data 140 listed firms construction property sector Malaysia. Findings: results show that community media are positively related to improves our understanding factors determining firms' by demonstrating market stakeholders customers partners) not perceived as necessary managers concerning Theoretical Contribution/Originality: Common studies view all be taken homogenously into consideration decision making.
